The Relationship Between Involvement and Perceived Social Support among Parents of Preschool Children

Parental involvement plays a key role in preschoolers' development and can contribute to children's educational outcomes. The purpose of this study was explore the relationship between perceived social support among parents preschool children. Participants included 256 (198 mothers, 58 fathers) children aged 3 6 years old. Two instruments were used measure parental support. Results found that moderately high, with mothers reporting higher levels than fathers for education. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed positive predictive effect on involvement.
